Getting started

1. Create an identity

Sign up with your name, email, and a password. There's no email verification step and no password-reset email flow — your credentials are checked directly against your own account on each sign-in.

2. Open a drain

New accounts start with a short "Getting started" drain already in the sidebar, showing how entries, comments, and drain management work. From there, create a new drain from the sidebar for each project, incident channel, or team you want a log for. Right-click a drain (or use its menu) to rename it, tag it, copy its share link, or delete it.

3. Start typing

Click anywhere in the feed and start typing — every paragraph becomes its own entry the moment you move to a new line. There's no save button; autosave and live sync handle the rest, even if you go offline mid-sentence.

4. Invite others, or publish it

Shared drains can be opened up to specific people by email. Any drain can also be published as a read-only link at /p/:token — no account needed to view it, grouped by day.
